I came to see Dr. Jerald for 2 main issues: sciatica with shocking pains to my left foot & a pretty recent wrist injury.<br><br>- I’ve been having the sciatica problem for over a year with the shocks becoming more prominent. My primary care wasn’t addressing the issue and focused more on masking the problem with medication.. (and telling me to quit my hobbies) It was at a point where the shocks happened almost all the time…walking, sitting, driving and even sleeping.<br>- The wrist injury was new, probably from repetitive use both during jiu jitsu and work since I can’t pinpoint an exact event that caused the injury. It was progressively getting worse to the point where I couldn’t open a door, stir my cooking or connect a syringe without pain.<br><br>When I was having trouble doing daily tasks and having to call out of work, I knew I needed to try something different. That was when I decided to get a consultation at OPTMZ. Dr. Jerald listened carefully to my concerns and offered treatment plans catered specifically to my problems. I only started getting treatment exactly a month ago and already in this short time I have seen so much progress. After just the second session, the shocking pains on my left foot have stopped! I haven’t had them in a month! As for my wrist, in a month’s time, the pain has decreased significantly, my arm mobility and weight bearing is continually increasing. I've been seeing Dr. Gerald for 2 years for sciatica, back, and neck pain. I took a year off to save my sessions since I was no longer in pain, but now I know it's best to go in at least once a month to maintain and stay pain free along with doing the stretches he recommends at home. I recently came back barely able to walk, and after just two visits in 1 week, I was pain free and able to enjoy my weekend at the river. Dr. Gerald Chavez is great, if something is hurting he makes sure to make it stop. He works on myself and on my Family consistently. I’ve been getting treatment for over a year now. Most recently I was involved in a car accident which set back my progress from maintenance to fixing my stiff neck and back. After my accident mobility was limited and painful. With Dr Jared’s muscle tension release, PT, and chiropractic adjustments my movement has improved. If you haven’t tried his therapy sessions I highly recommend it along with chiropractic care. He even gives you home exercises to streamline your way to recovery and health.

Dr. Chavez is deeply knowledgeable, super friendly, and a caring doctor He took the time to get to know me and my needs, then provided the care I needed. Now during my visits, he would ask a few questions and examine problem areas to assess. From his observation he would intuitively know exactly what I needed, even in what I think are tricky areas to adjust or stretch (because I had never experienced that with previous chiropractors). He also provided a stretch exercise program unique for my needs. So we are working on my wellness progress together. I love that! Dr Jerald truly cares about his patients . I’ve never been to a chiropractor ever in my life, yet alone been adjusted. It’s been amazing. I feel more limber and aligned. As soon as you walk in the door Kelly greets you with a big smile and warm welcome. These are two of the friendliest, down-to-earth, make you feel like family, people you will ever meet. Dr. Jerald offers not only chiropractic adjustments, but alternative therapies to really single in on your problem areas. He's helped me through an ankle injury, car accident, shoulder injury, and of course my back pain. He also takes the time to share his knowledge, explain how other areas can be a root cause, and even walks you through stretches/exercises you can do between sessions to recover faster. Dr Jerald is the best! I saw his ad on Instagram when I was actively looking for a chiropractor and booked with him right away. Not only are him and his beautiful wife, the friendliest people I’ve ever met but Dr Jerald is so talented and educated in the chiropractor field. I suffered from migraines for 32 years, since a child. I’ve tried every medicine you can think of and after I spent a few weeks with him and my treatment plan he made for me, I went from having daily headaches to not having ANY AT ALL FOR MONTHS! I’m not even exaggerating! Their prices are affordable and their work is top notch! Each person gets a personalized and customized treatment and these people actually care about us! I was very hesitate with chiropractors. They always made me feel sore or more hurt but with Dr Jerald it really helped me and I was totally open to everything he has done.
First vist was about 9 months ago, constant back & neck pain and limited movement. After the 2nd visit so much pressure released. Definitely recommend him & his wife Kelly is amazing!!

There are so many chiropractic practices out there, but the explanatory social media videos and great reviews of OPTMZ have caught my attention.<br>You never know what kind of treatment is the most effective when in distress with your back. I have being diagnosed with thoracic and lumbar scoliosis, several lumbar bulges, and a fused sacrum… I had to found a better alternative to muscle relaxers, pain killers pills and injections.<br>I walked in to Dr. Jerald Chavez’s practice unable to go from sitting to walking without extreme lower back pain and nerve pain in the legs. I could not sit on the floor, kneel or squat,, I could not proceed with my daily chores at work or at home, or getting in and out of a vehicle without great struggle.<br>After 8 sessions of adjustments, and one session of cupping, I was actually able to fonction with my daily life. The pain caused by the thoracic scoliosis has disappeared. I’ve been going optmz state for three months and it’s been a pleasure. I’m a truck driver and lift weights about 5-6 times a week so my body is getting beat up every week but going to them is like getting your body reset every week. Dr.Jared and Kelly are super nice to see every week and Dr. Jared is very knowledgeable with his work
